What CAB advisers can do for you
Benefit Changes
Working and Tax Credits enter their 2nd year. If you are already receiving it you will be asked to complete a review form to assess what your income for 2003/4 was. This could affect this year's award.
Pension & Savings Credits are still not being claimed by everyone who is entitled to them. With yet another increase in Council Tax, make this the time to check out your entitlements to a whole range of benefits.
The CAB can calculate this for you. You have nothing to lose but lots to gain!
Useful Telephone Numbers
Attendance Allowance & DLA
New, shorter application forms are being introduced. From 10 November 2003, the Attendance Allowance forms reduce to 19 pages (from 40). Next spring the same will happen to the DLA forms.
If you're thinking of applying make sure you get help filling in the forms. Ask the CAB!
